The questions buyers ask us
before they hit Send.
MOQs, lead times, gauges, FBA compliance, custom print, payment terms — the things we end up answering on every sales call, in one place.
ORDERING
What is the minimum order quantity?
Stock-catalog items (poly mailers, suffocation warning bags in standard sizes) ship from one case minimum. Custom-printed runs typically start at 5,000 units. Below that we can still quote — pricing reflects the setup cost — and recommend you start with a stock item if possible.
How do I request a quote or samples?
Submit a request at portal.synergypackaging.mx/request-quote or use the Request-a-quote-or-samples button anywhere on the site. On the form you'll pick whether you want a price quote, free samples, or both — and tell us dimensions, gauge, quantities, and (if branded) the artwork. We respond within 24 business hours.
Can I get samples before placing an order?
Yes. On the request form choose "Samples" (or "Both" if you also want pricing) and we'll ship a small set of bags so you can feel the material, check print quality, and validate the size before committing to a production run.
Do you ship to the United States?
Yes. We ship FOB Baja California, México — most US destinations land in 3 to 7 business days via standard ground freight. We work with US-based brokers if you don't already have one.
SPECS
What gauges (thicknesses) can you produce?
Our extrusion floor runs from 1.0 mil to 6.0 mil with a gauge tolerance of ±5% across the web. Most poly mailers are 2.5 mil; FBA-compliant suffocation warning bags ship at 1.5 mil minimum.
Can you make a custom size that isn't in the stock catalog?
Yes. Tell us width, length, flap, gusset (if any), and gauge. Custom sizes ship the same way as stock — same lead time once tooling is confirmed. There is no surcharge for non-standard dimensions on production runs above 10,000 units.
Do you make poly bubble or kraft bubble mailers?
Not yet. Today our catalog covers flat poly mailers, poly bags, and suffocation warning bags. Padded bubble mailers and kraft bubble mailers are on the planned 2027 product roadmap.
COMPLIANCE
Are your suffocation warning bags FBA-compliant?
Yes. They meet Amazon FBA's polybag standard: 1.5 mil minimum gauge, suffocation warning text printed in English / Spanish / French, vent holes to prevent the bag itself from being a hazard. Compliant for any bag dimension 5 inches or greater on any side.
Which state suffocation warning laws do you cover?
Our standard warning print satisfies California, New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Rhode Island. We can also adjust the warning text to single-language or add supplementary brand information on the same bag.
Do you offer FDA-compliant materials for food contact?
We source FDA-compliant resin grades for indirect food contact and document the certificate per lot. Direct food contact (immediate packaging) requires additional discussion of the specific product and contact conditions.
Can you provide lot traceability documentation?
Yes — every finished bag traces back through its production run to the supplier resin lot. Lot certificates, resin certificates of analysis, and country-of-origin documentation are available on request. We have customers who pull these for Walmart, Target, and Amazon audits.
PRINT & ARTWORK
How many colors can you print, and on which sides?
Up to six flexographic colors per side. Front, back, or both. Inside-flap print is also available. Plates are stored on file for repeat orders so there is no plate cost on subsequent runs of the same artwork.
Do you match specific Pantone colors?
Yes. Pantone color matching is done in-house. We do a press-side proof on a custom color match before the run starts — you sign off on the actual sheet, not a digital approximation. We hold the signed proof on file.
What artwork file format do you need?
Vector files in PDF, AI, or EPS at 300 DPI. Pantone colors should be specified by name. We can work with PNG or JPEG for layout reference but final art must be vector for clean flexographic plates.
SHIPPING & LEAD TIME
How long is the lead time?
Stock-catalog items ship in 3 to 5 business days from receipt of PO. Custom-printed runs typically ship in 2 to 3 weeks once artwork is approved and plates are made. Reorders of SKUs we already have plates for ship in the stock-item time frame.
How does nearshore Tijuana compare to overseas?
Overseas (Asian) lead times typically run 60 to 90 days with container minimums. From Tijuana, you can receive a pallet in 3 to 7 business days. Same-quality film, much shorter cash-conversion cycle, no port risk.
PRICING & PAYMENT
What are your payment terms?
Standard terms are 50% deposit at PO acceptance, 50% balance NET 30 from shipment. Larger established accounts qualify for NET 30 or NET 60 on the full amount. We accept wire (Wise), ACH, and credit card (additional processing fee).
Do you offer volume pricing or annual contracts?
Yes. Customers on a recurring monthly draw get tiered pricing locked in for the contract period. Reach out with your forecast and we will quote a per-unit price that scales with annual volume.
Still have questions?
The fastest path to a real answer is a real quote or samples in hand. Send your spec and we'll turn it around in 24 hours.
